This new product provides thorough, reliable insight into the functioning of the enterprise job scheduling environment. The reports and analysis provided by Tidal Intelligent Reporting enable IT operations and business personnel to make the fast, well informed decisions necessary to troubleshoot, trend, and analyze job scheduling operations and business utilization of the IT production environment.
Tidal Intelligent Reporting reduces the complexity and time required for analysis and reporting on enterprise job scheduling by aggregating all the scheduler's metrics into a data warehouse for operational intelligence. "Reporting is an essential component of Job Scheduling," stated Milind Govekar, Research Vice President, Gartner, Inc. "It helps enterprises proactively identify and improve on the success of job scheduling, particularly in a complex environment with heterogeneous platforms and applications. This inevitably results in enterprises improving efficiencies through better utilization of resources and improved service delivery to the business."
Intelligent Reporting includes a set of standard ready-to-run reports that provide metrics on production day status, job history, user activity, as well as audit reports for change management and compliance initiatives. These ready-to-run reports can be customized or new reports created on the fly to accommodate the differing needs of both IT and business users. Report generation and delivery can be automated so users can regularly have the information needed to aim for the highest quality execution of operations possible.
"Tidal Intelligent Reporting gives IT organizations the operational and business visibility needed to proactively manage their scheduling operations to higher levels of service and efficiency," said Steven P. Mikula, CDC Technical Services Manager at Paychex. "With its historical reporting and easy-to-use interface we can continually monitor and improve the performance and efficiency of our production environment."
"Our scheduling operation is critical to the businesses we support," according to Kevin Kanuik, Assistant Vice President at JP Morgan Chase. "Tidal Intelligent Reporting delivers the up to date information we need on how scheduling is performing. Its automatic report generation will keep IT personnel informed more efficiently, freeing up time to be more proactive with the right information at our fingertips."
