CEO Mike Trebilcock Named to 2014 CRN Top 25 Innovator List

MCPc Chief Executive Officer, Mike Trebilcock, Named to the CRN Top 25 Innovator List of 2014

CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwired - August 19, 2014) - Mike Trebilcock, Chief Executive Officer of MCPc, has been named to the CRN Top 25 Innovator list of 2014, CRN released this week. The Top 25 Innovator list is a collection of leaders among technology integrators and solution providers who are setting the technology course and successfully responding to the rapidly changing marketplace. This prestigious honor sought executives from all over the world, and was part of the CRN 2014 Top 100 Executive series.

"Mike and his team at MCPc are one of the elite solution provider companies in the industry that we believe are building the new model and structure that will be necessary to solve the increasingly complex problems customers must solve with IT to drive their own businesses," said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company/CRN. Faletra's comments were echoed by other leadership throughout the technology community, including Jennifer Sundquist, the Senior Manager for Partner Go-To-Market Readiness at VMware, who said that VMware was "delighted" at the accomplishment, which is reflective of "already adding tremendous value" in their partnership. Other VMware leadership concurred, such as Frank Rauch, Vice President of VMware's Americas Partner Organization, saying that the award "speaks volumes for the thought leadership MCPc brings to the channel."

Eric Koach, Vice President of Sales, Enterprise Group for Hewlett-Packard, commented on the award, saying that he is "[l]ooking forward to taking this relationship to the next level and beyond." Koach went on to say that Trebilcock is in "good company," as he shares the honor with Antonio Neri, Hewlett- Packard's Senior Vice President and General Manager of Servers & Networking. The stream of accolades continued from Eaton Corporation. Ramesh Menon, Eaton's Director of Channel Marketing, remarked that this award was "the result of dynamic leadership and dedicated teamwork."

Trebilcock was quick to pass along the praise to the associates at MCPc, explaining that this award is "validation for what MCPc has stood for over the past 25 years -- innovation and excellence." Trebilcock took the opportunity to praise the individuals who comprise MCPc as being best-in-class across all of the company's offerings. "This award isn't about me. It couldn't be. It's about our company -- it's about our team. Really, it's about our family. I'm sure that like many companies, we continue to aggressively charge ahead in our business. There isn't much time for introspection -- but this award brings that into focus. This recognition permits me, selfishly, to enjoy the awe and respect I feel for our dedicated, talented individuals. I'm humbled and honored to receive it, of course, but more importantly I embrace what its real meaning is: innovation and excellence as a team," Trebilcock continued.

The Jevons Paradox suggests that when technological advances increase efficiency of a resource, it results in an overall increase in consumption. Writing on the increased use of coal as a result of technological improvements, 19th-century economist William Stanley Jevons found that these improvements led to the development of new ways to utilize coal. In his session at 19th Cloud Expo, Mark Thiele, Chief Strategy Officer for Apcera, compared the Jevons Paradox to modern-day enterprise IT, examin...
While the focus and objectives of IoT initiatives are many and diverse, they all share a few common attributes, and one of those is the network. Commonly, that network includes the Internet, over which there isn't any real control for performance and availability. Or is there? The current state of the art for Big Data analytics, as applied to network telemetry, offers new opportunities for improving and assuring operational integrity. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Jim Frey, Vice President of S...
