ABBYY Recognition Server impulsa la conversión de documentos

La nueva version ofrece más opciones de PDF, se integra directamente con SharePoint y presenta una sólida arquitectura

Múnich, Alemania (17 de julio de 2014) - ABBYY Europe, proveedor líder de reconocimiento de documentos, captura de datos y tecnologías y servicios lingüísticos, ha anunciado hoy el nuevo lanzamiento de ABBYY Recognition Server, el galardonado software basado en servidor para la conversión de documentos automatizada y sin asistencia. Esta última version ofrece nuevas funciones para una conversión de archivos más eficiente, una mejor integración de Microsoft® SharePoint®, opciones avanzadas de conversión y creación de PDF, nuevos mecanismos de tolerancia ante faltas y un reconocimiento óptico de caracteres (OCR) optimizado para árabe.

"Aunque los organismos cada vez son más digitales al consumir, compartir y almacenar información, la documentación impresa sigue dominando los entornos empresariales", afirmaba Aram Pakhchanian, director de Data Capture Products en ABBYY. "Recognition Server permite a las empresas gestionar grandes volúmenes de documentos con el máximo nivel de eficiencia jamás visto y convertir imágenes sin estructura y bibliotecas enteras de documentos en información utilizable con función de búsqueda."

Diseñado para el procesamiento de un volumen medio y elevado de documentos, ABBYY Recognition Server permite a organismos y proveedores de servicios de escaneado establecer procesos rentables al convertir documentos en papel e imagen en archivos electrónicos con opción de búsqueda y aptos para el archivado. Recognition Server obtiene automáticamente imágenes de documentos de escáneres, servidores de archivos, fax y correo electrónico, así como de las bibliotecas de Microsoft SharePoint, puede reconocer contenido en más de 190 lenguas y permite incorporar metadatos con el fin de simplificar las búsquedas.

Nuevas características principales:

  • Procesamiento directo de documentos desde archivos digitales y bibliotecas de Microsoft SharePoint - Ahora, ABBYY Recognition Server puede examinar una estructura de carpetas en árbol o una biblioteca de documentos en Microsoft SharePoint, convertir archivos de imágenes descubiertos en formatos que permitan búsquedas y reproducir toda la biblioteca en un formato con búsquedas. Los archivos agregados que aparecen en la biblioteca se pueden procesar automáticamente. Gracias a la mejor integración con Microsoft SharePoint, ABBYY Recognition Server puede convertir imágenes de documentos y PDF escaneados directamente dentro de las bibliotecas de SharePoint, incrementando así la efectividad del trabajo con documentos para los usuarios de SharePoint.
  • Mejor robustez y tolerancia ante faltas — Con la incorporación de una base de datos SQLite y la mejora del mecanismo de tolerancia ante faltas, ABBYY Recognition Server puede manejar cargas de trabajo elevadas o prestar servicios a múltiples clientes dentro de una instalación, lo que le permite brindar apoyo a extensos proyectos de conversión de documentos en toda la empresa.
  • Conversión PDF inteligente — Durante la conversión de PDF, ABBYY Recognition Server puede detectar de forma inteligente los archivos PDF que requieran procesamiento de OCR y dejar sin tocar los PDF que ya tengan una capa de texto. Al convertir archivos PDF en formatos de archivo como PDF o PDF/A, ABBYY Recognition Server les inyectará una capa de texto y mantendrá intactos la calidad de la imagen, metadatos, marcadores, anotaciones, adjuntos y demás características del documento original. ABBYY Recognition Server también amplía el soporte de las normas de archivado digital al reconocer los formatos de almacenamiento PDF/A-2a, PDF/A-2b y PDF/A-2u.
  • OCR más rápido para árabe — Junto a la mejora general de la precisión y velocidad del OCR, ABBYY Recognition Server incrementa hasta un 20%* el procesamiento de los textos en árabe y hasta un 10%* la precisión de los resultados en documentos de trabajo y libros en árabe.
  • Administración de usuarios más sencilla — Para reducir más los esfuerzos administrativos y los permisos para diferentes tareas como las administrativas, ahora se pueden asignar la verificación e indexación mediante grupos de usuarios de Active Directory.
