ABBYY lance Recognition Server et augmente la puissance de conversion des documents

Munich, Allemagne (12 juin 2014) ABBYY Europe, un fournisseur leader de solutions de reconnaissance de documents, de capture de données et de technologies et services linguistiques, annonce aujourd'hui le lancement de la nouvelle version d'ABBYY Recognition Server, logiciel basé sur serveur récompensé , destiné à la conversion automatisée et non surveillée de documents. Cette nouvelle version présente de nouvelles fonctionnalités telles que la possibilité de convertir plus efficacement de gros volumes d'archives, une intégration optimisée de Microsoft® SharePoint®, de fonctionnalités avancées de conversion et création de PDF, de nouveaux mécanismes de tolérance aux erreurs et une meilleure reconnaissance optique des caractères (OCR) arabes.

« Malgré la montée en puissance des processus de numérisation de l'information pour un partage et un archivage plus efficaces, la documentation papier prédomine toujours dans les environnements d'entreprise », déclare Aram Pakhchanian, directeur du service Produits de Capture de Données chez ABBYY. « Recognition Server permet aux entreprises de gérer plus efficacement que jamais d'importantes quantités de documents en transformant rapidement des images non structurées et des bibliothèques de documents entiers en informations interrogeables et utilisables. »

Conçu pour le traitement de volumes moyens à importants de documents, ABBYY Recognition Server permet aux organisations et aux prestataires de services de numérisation de mettre en place des processus rentables de conversion des documents papier et des images de documents en fichiers électroniques adaptés à l'archivage numérique et aux recherches. Recognition Server reprend automatiquement les images des scanners, des serveurs de fichiers, des télécopieurs, des serveurs de messagerie et des bibliothèques Microsoft SharePoint, effectue une reconnaissance dans plus de 190 langues et permet d'ajouter des métadonnées pour simplifier la recherche.

Les nouvelles fonctionnalités clés incluent :

  • Le traitement direct des documents des archives numériques et des bibliothèques Microsoft SharePoint - ABBYY Recognition Server est désormais capable de parcourir les arborescences de fichiers archivés ou les rayons d'une bibliothèque Microsoft, de convertir des images trouvées en fichiers interrogeables et de reproduire l'intégralité de la bibliothèque dans un format interrogeable. Les fichiers récemment ajoutés dans la bibliothèque peuvent être traités automatiquement. Grâce à l'intégration optimisée de Microsoft SharePoint, ABBYY Recognition Server peut convertir des images de documents et des PDF scannés directement dans les bibliothèques SharePoint, ce qui permet aux utilisateurs de SharePoint de travailler plus efficacement avec les documents.

  • Une robustesse et des mécanismes de tolérance aux erreurs optimisés - Grâce à l'ajout d'une base de données SQLite et de mécanismes de tolérance aux erreurs optimisés, ABBYY Recognition Server peut traiter des charges de travail élevées et des clients multiples au sein d'une seule installation. Ainsi, il peut prendre en charge des projets de conversion de documents de grande ampleur et d'envergure applicables à toute l'entreprise.

  • La conversion PDF intelligente - Durant la conversion en PDF, ABBYY Recognition Server identifie intelligemment les fichiers PDF nécessitant un traitement OCR sans toucher aux PDF qui présentent déjà une couche de texte. Lorsqu'il convertit des fichiers PDF en formats archivables tels que les fichiers PDF ou PDF/A interrogeables, ABBYY Recognition Server y injecte une couche de texte tout en préservant la qualité d'image, les métadonnées, marque-pages, annotations, annexes et autres caractéristiques du document original. ABBYY Recognition Server élargit également la prise en charge des standards d'archivage numérique aux formats PDF/A-2a, PDF/A-2b et PDF/A-2u.

  • L'OCR arabes plus rapide - En plus d'une amélioration générale de la précision et de la vitesse d'OCR, ABBYY Recognition Server assure un traitement jusqu'à 20 %* plus rapide des textes en langue arabe et des résultats jusqu'à 10 %* plus précis sur les documents bureautiques et les livres en langue arabe.

  • Une gestion plus facile des utilisateurs - Pour minimiser les efforts d'administration, les autorisations requises pour les différentes tâches comme la gestion, la vérification et l'indexation sont désormais attribuables via des groupes d'utilisateurs au sein du répertoire actif (Active Directory).
