Informática El Corte Ingles is now an ABBYY Europe FlexiCapture Certified Partner

Document Solutions Experts Have Demonstrated Success at Incorporating Enterprise Capture into Business Solutions

Munich, Germany (19 November, 2013) - ABBYY Europe, a leading provider of document recognition, data capture, and linguistic technologies, today announced Informática El Corte Ingles, based in Madrid, has joined the ABBYY European Solution Partner Programme. The certification is granted to organisations that attend and pass a full ABBYY FlexiCapture training course. Informática El Corte Ingles now gains full access to ABBYY's Data and Document Capture solutions, which provide a wide range of features for the extraction of business-critical information from customer documents in various industry sectors such as legal, logistics, financial services, healthcare, government, outsourcing and many others.

"The ECM area of our business has its own R&D function which not only develops document management and cloud solutions but also has agreements with major software and hardware manufacturers in the field of document management," says a Business Solutions Manager from Informática El Corte Ingles. "Within this alliance strategy, Informática El Corte Inglés has key resources and has an agreement with ABBYY as a certified partner. We are focused on the collaboration between the two companies especially in the domain knowledge and FlexiCapture tool, which is highly suitable for many of the projects developed Informática El Corte Ingles. The ECM/DBPO areas of Informatica El Corte Ingles place a lot of value on the use of FlexiCapture, especially its ability to integrate intovarious customer applications, in addition to its scalability and adaptability to different environments."

ABBYY FlexiCapture enables Informática El Corte Ingles to offer its clients a seamless process, from the time documents enter an organisation as post, to end-of-line business applications like SAP, Oracle, Sage and various document management applications. Documents are scanned and essential data captured from business-critical documents, such as invoices, is automatically entered into the backend application while at the same time the original is digitally archived for fast and easy retrieval. This level of automation removes several of the most time-consuming manual tasks involved in paper processing. Additionally, a policy of "digitising everything" provides organisations with a robust strategy for disaster recovery.

"We place tremendous value on our relationships with partners, who help us deliver solutions and applications to customers. Informática El Corte Ingles has demonstrated a proven track record in providing expert and high quality customer service," states Miguel Blanc of ABBYY Software Ibérica. "Customers need to rely on trusted advisers to help guide them through the available business technology options. Informática El Corte Ingles is such an adviser and we are therefore pleased to have them as a member of our European Solution Partner Programme."
